Dato Wong Kuo Hea has 38 years of working experience in the timber industry. With his wealth of experience gained from involvement in a multitude of industries and markets, forest management, timber harvesting, wood processing, oil palm plantation and shipping operations to corporate management, Dato Wong spearheaded the commitment of the Group towards sustainability of timber resources and led the Group to diversify downstream operations both in Malaysia and overseas. Over the years, he has built up a strong and efficient management system within the Group and developed an effective communication platform and good business relationship with buyers and business associates.

He was appointed to the Board of Ta Ann Holdings Berhad as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer since 2 October 1999. Dato Wong is also a member of the Remuneration Committee, Risk Management Committee and ESOS Committee.

Dato Wong was conferred the honorary PSBS award on 8 September 2007.

Except for his interest in Mountex Sdn. Bhd., a major shareholder of the Company, he has no family relationship with any director and substantial shareholder of the Company. He is deemed interested in the transactions with the related parties, which are carried out in the ordinary course of business, as detailed in the note to the account and breakdown of recurrent related party transactions. Except as disclosed therein, he has no personal interest in other business arrangement involving the Company.

He attended all five (5) of the Board meetings held in the financial year.
