Mr. Chia Chu Fatt was appointed to the Board of Ta Ann Holdings Berhad as an Independent Non-Executive Director on 1 June 2008.

He sits on the Board of Dayang Enterprise Holdings Berhad, a company listed on the Main Market of Bursa Securities. He is the proprietor of Andy Chia & Co., a chartered accountants firm which he established in 1987 and has 31 years of working experience in chartered accountants firms, of which about five (5) years were with a medium size firm in London, England.

Mr. Chia is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (UK), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants and a member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia. He serves in various capacities as the Chairman of Miri Basketball Association, Vice-President of Miri Swimming Association, a Board Member of Sarawak Land Development Board and a former Sarawak State Legislative Council Assemblyman. He was formerly a councilor of Miri Municipal Council for 11 years.

He was conferred the honorary Ahli Bintang Sarawak (ABS) by T.Y.T Yang DiPertua Negeri Sarawak in 1994.

Mr. Chia serves as a member of the Audit Committee. He has no family relationship with any director and major shareholder of Ta Ann Holdings Berhad, nor any personal interest in any business arrangement involving the Company.

He attended all five (5) of both the Board meetings and the Audit Committee meetings held in the financial year.
